You know more than you think you do.If you feel overwhelmed by the work that was sent home concentrate on teaching children to:
-read an old fashioned clock with hands (helps with division and factoring)
-use and read a ruler and measuring tape
-cook, it’s great for fractions. Have them double, triple, or half a recipe (great for ratios and
proportions)
-figure paint, flooring, and baseboard amounts and cost if they were to redo their room.(A story problem
they can really enjoy.)
Practical math is the area children tend to be weak in and the thing you can really help them learn.
