Louise Prescott
Biography
Louise Prescott never ran away to a museum like Claudia. She was too busy snorkeling in the beach by her house, stepping on horseshoe crabs, and trying to catch slithery eels. But if she had run away, it would have been to the tiny public library up the street. It had nooks and crannies to sit in and get lost in a book. Perhaps that’s why she grew up to be an elementary school librarian, reading piles of books and sharing wonderful stories with children all day long. Now, Louise writes for kids. Picture books, chapter books, and middle-grade fiction. She lives on Long Island with her family and one very silly dog.
